The PowerDerm system is Progressive, not aggressive. This means that while you can actually see the powerful results immediately in a smoother skin and skin residue on the tip, the dermabrasion effect is mild in comparison to the original aggressive machines. Progressing over 4 to 5 treatments, the sessions will accomplish topically what the original machines do in 1. However, each PowerDerm sessions progressively build upon each former one by continuing to initiate the body’s skin healing and rebuilding response to the microscopic abrasion effect. This means that the PowerDerm treatment is technically more effective than occasional vacuum machine sessions.
PowerDerm Sessions are more effective than traditional MicroDermabrasion. PowerDerm’s skin treatment works at two levels on the skin. This first level is topical and accomplishes the removal of the top layer skin cells with the dermabrasion skin cells, and buffing of the skin surface with the dermabrasion crystals. The first level of treatment is responsible for the initial revelation of fresh skin beneath the top layer of skin and smoothing of the skin surface. It also prepares the skin for accelerated acceptance of skin nutrients, vitamins, and collagen and elastin regrowth accelerators. Our Finishing Crème or any skin care product you’ve formerly used on your face is immediately more bio-effective.
The second level of treatment occurs as a result of the first, in that the microscopic resurfacing abrasion of the crystals trigger the skin’s healing and renewal response deep in the epidermis. Collagen and elastin are activated in the healing response and new cells form deep within the epidermis. It is the secondary activation of the body’s healing response on a repetitive basis every 2 to 4 days which kicks the wonders of PowerDerm’s complete skin renewal system into high gear. As the days, weeks, and months progress, the body rebuilds the entire epidermis system cell by cell, on an accelerated basis instead of waiting for the skin to slough off over a period of months to years. In the beginning, the layer of collagen, elastin and skin cells produced many months ago moves faster than normal to the surface.
Progressing over time, the rebuilding process is accelerated by frequent and successive dermabrasion sessions so that in a very short time you are looking at cells that were generated only recently by normal skin standards. Cosmetic skin problems such as acne scars, brown spots, fine lines and wrinkles are attacked by the abrasion from the top and the accelerated renewal process from below. As the former skin surface is abraded down, the skin rebuilding acceleration pushes up from below, both smoothing and filling in surface impressions, scars, lines, etc. No other skin treatment process is as progressively persistent and effective as the PowerDerm MicroDermabrasion System.
